The name 'Serious' is derived from his mother who questioned his views on different things in life

by asking, "Why do you look at things so seriously?" De (island twang for The) Hybrid, is an added moniker for himself

describing his West Indian heritage from being born on the island of St. Thomas VI, to a Bajan father and an Antiguan mother.

The family later migrated to Los Angeles, CA (United States) in search of business opportunities and while living there, he was introduced/influenced by different/various music genres of which he found interesting & informative.

Serious is a unique Man Of Rhythm who creates songs/rhythms representing himself, other artists who like his
